TASTING NOTES
Hopefully, better LATE than NEVER? We are so very excited to release our 2013 Late Harvest Viognier, a wine that has been 9 years in the making. In 2013, we intentionally harvested some Viognier grapes late in the season, when many berries had dried quite a bit, resulting in very high sugars. We fermented this wine very cold until the yeast died out naturally, leaving about 160 g/L of residual sugar. Then we aged it for 8 years in tank, at a constant 40 degrees, allowing the wine to come into balance. This wine is bottled dessert with peach, apricot preserves and a rich and long honeyed finish. Very decadent!
