TASTING NOTES
The inaugural release of this new wine! Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 XI is a mélange of the five Bordeaux varietals giving this youthful blend depth and complexity. The wine's dense and inky appearance focuses the nose to persistent aromas of dark plums and blackberries. Hints of graphite and black olive round it out giving this powerhouse a perceived maturity. The palate commands attention balanced by acidity, tannins and weight. Layers of cacao, raspberry, cinnamon and nutmeg are the most prominent flavors, followed by a hint of white pepper. The polished and fine-grained tannins complete the palate with finesse.
